Skegness RNLI Lifeboat Station
Just wanted to make a special mention to the Skegness RNLI Lifeboat Station who keep Skegness holidaymakers safe at sea (and from themsleves!). The RNLI may be invisible most of the time but by golly do they do some sterling work. Please watch a recent video of theirs (YouTube) – we should all appreciate the contribution they make to our lives on this big ol’ island of ours! Or VISIT their website

Hi, I was in Winthorpe on Friday night and saw 1 st hand what a fantastic job you all do. Whilst the rescue wasn’t very nice to watch and frightened both myself and my son. It proved what vital work you do. Without you the man wouldn’t be here now. Keep up the fantastic work you do….youv’e made me feel safe in Skeggy!!! Sue and Luke, Leeds

Just by chance was in Skegness this afternoon (27th April)and saw both boats go out on exercise, and waited to watch them being recovered. A rare treat for inlanders like us from Cambridgeshire. Best wishes to crews and other volunteers.
